Thank you for 300,000 pageviews! Haven't had much activity around here in a while as I expected. Definitely slacking on other sites too since my laptop charger is currently broken so I only have limited access to a slow PC right now. School starts back up September 13th and I'm quite excited.

I'm trying to use my downtime to plan out bigger shoots so hopefully before summer is over I can get something together. I've got a few collaborations/lookbooks to shoot for different stores so I'm anxious to get those started.

Also, if you have tried to visit my etsy and realized it is not there anymore, that's because I had to close it. A shop in Texas had the same name but theirs was trademarked, so I had to give it up. No worries though! I may reopen another one soon or I might just wait until next summer. I have so many things I never had the chance to list so we'll see.

Many of you know I had a big legal battle with a European clothing company. I won't give out any of the details but it is very close to being settled after these past few months, so that's a relief.

I've also recently created an etsy shop for vintage clothing. I have tons of vintage from photoshoots that I don't need to keep so I'm putting them on sale here at milk+honey on etsy. I add new stuff every week or so and occasionally I post discounts to those who follow me on twitter.



Someone also asked if I'll be doing a 300,000 page view feature and I have no plans to do one right now. I do plan on having some features this summer but not right away!

In other news, I am starting my first day of the new quarter at SCAD today, meaning all new classes!
This quarter (the next 10 weeks) I am taking photo history II, an intro to fashion course (sewing, etc), and studio lighting in photography! I'm excited to work with strobes and hotlights and have a lot of new work to share with you all.

I will definitely be posting work to the blog as I get started in the courses and surely I will be uploading some here as well!

Hello all! haven't updated in a while!

I'm currently visiting Pennsylvania for a few days of my spring break! I'm excited since I've never been to the North before!
After spring break is over I'll be starting my new classes which includes a studio lighting course. I've got a ton of ideas and I'm excited to start working on a whole new style of fashion photography!


I'll do a feature later this week when I get back to Savannah and back from my trip.

in other news, school has been pretty time consuming but I've been doing a lot of shooting for class and most of my recent uploads were taken for that reason. I'm currently waiting to get some color Hasselblad film back, so that is exciting! I'll definitely upload those if they come out well.

I know I have been a little absent, but I just started back up in school this week.

I get so many questions about how to achieve the colors I do, but I am unable to post a real "tutorial" since I experiment every time and my colors rely heavily on the time of day I shoot anyway.

currently photography has been consuming quite a bit of my time and that is something I'm very happy about.


I have decided that I'm switching to color for my 4x5 large format class.
I will be shooting a looot over the next few weeks and should have plenty to share with you all by the end of November.
(My idea still needs some more planning, but I've got a pretty good idea of what I'll do and I cannot wait!)


Also I have been working with a fashion club at my college. They put a team together and I was chosen to help shoot for some local boutiques around Savannah. My most recent shots were the first I have taken which I did not have full control over. It was interesting, something I definitely need to get more used to. I'm excited to do more, especially the next shoot. We'll be working with a vintage seller (far far more up my alley, hehe) and I cannootttt wait to shoot that!



Anyway, I hope my lack of response hasn't been too frustrating, I have been quite busy.

I am back in school and thus busy with work.
I have been shooting black and white 4x5 stuff for class, I'll get around to scanning some and posting it when I have time.
